After a turn out that jumped 450% over last year, Infor’s VISUAL Connect 2013 was a huge success for making connections and learning more about what VISUAL has to offer. While attending, DCS took note of Infor’s focus on customer experience throughout the event. With the addition of one-on-one meetings, scheduled by VISUAL leaders, making connections was not only a top priority, but also easier than ever. More connections were made and there was never a moment wasted. Not only was the event customer focused, so are their new developments.
Hook & Loop
Infor presented their “in-house creative think tank,” Hook & Loop. The creative division was formed “to create experiences people love, rather than just being functional.” Hook & Loop is Infor’s way of preparing for future users who will chose a product based on how it works for them, rather than the job of the product itself.

Infor continued to promote their 10x product which is now widely available as a multi-purpose middleware platform. With a reinvented user experience, collaborative Ming.le platform, and embedded analytics, an innovative framework is created with consumers in mind. For example, with the use of Ming.le™, a social application for XML- and web-serviced Intelligent Open Network (ION) middleware, the need to use VISUAL and ION for inventory lookups, requisition approvals, and communication is eliminated and done all in one application.
Already spanning leading industries, 10x’s rollout into additional core-product lines is estimated to be completed by the fall of 2015. Innovation is Infor’s current focus as they begin changing the ERP interface and thoughts surrounding it.
