Effective January 21, 2013 (11 a.m. Eastern) Unified Grocers will be moving their EDI traffic to Edict Systems EnterpriseEC network to provide Value Added Network (VAN) to their vendors. Food producers vending to Unified Grocers should be sure to make this connection change by the deadline. If you have not done so you should contact [email protected].
You should continue exchanging X12 formatted documents such as:
- Purchase Order (850 or 875)
- Invoice (810 or 880)
- Shipment Notice (856)
- More
The change to Edict does NOT mean that you have to move to cumbersome web forms. X12 format data exchange remains the most economical choice.
Second, your method of data transmission does not change. To securely connect to Edict you can use:
- AS2
- FTPS
- Your VAN to Edict
