On November 25th, Infor announced the release of Infor SyteLine Version 9.00. The greatly improved ERP “industry suites” are essentially software features designed to serve the specific requirements of a range of industries (especially automotive). Adaption of your EDI maps means lower cost from more automation.
According to an Infor’s news release, the following modules have been improved:
- Single Instance or Multi-Site Database Functionality – Implementation options are offered on how and where a company’s data will be located and stored (in a single database, or divided into different databases as needed to fit any complex environment or IT requirement).
- Cloud Deployment – Enhanced support for cloud deployment and development is included in Data Maintenance Wizard allowing users to rapidly develop new data structures and application forms.
- Improved Compliance Measures – Defined compliance programs are offered, permitting users to track and report company compliance for RoHS and REACH.
- Enhanced Financials – Multiple financial sets of books are given, as well as the ability to have a separate year-end adjustment period and financial calendars with different year-end dates.
- Promotional Pricing and Rebates – Users are permitted to define promotional pricing and rebates enabling organizations to pass along incentives to their customers to help differentiate themselves from their competitors.
- Surcharges – Account for the fluctuation of commodity prices and surcharges, across any number of exchange services for customer and vender orders. Comparing the actual and base pricing during the purchase or sale of affected items helps users measure these surcharges and determine the appropriate actions.
If you have decided to upgrade to Infor SyteLine 9.00 it is likely that your EDI system needs to be adapted too.
