Amazon Sets New Purchase Order Requirements

When you confirm a purchase order from Amazon, it is important that the quantity of units you fulfill exactly match the quantity in the purchase order (850). Starting in January 2017, Amazon will assess a chargeback titled “Unfilled by Cancel Date” for any units that remain unfilled by the purchase order cancelation date. Because Amazon’s systems require a precise match between purchase order quantity and units received, they will no longer accept any variance on fill rates.

If you are an Amazon vendor, DCS can assist you in ensuring that you are in compliance with Amazon’s new requirements and avoid costly chargebacks. Contact your DCS EDI Specialist or e-mail us today if you have any questions.
