Amazon Announces Purchase Order EDI Update

Amazon has announced a new Purchase Order EDI update for their “Purchasing Entity” Name which will take effect on March 1, 2019. This update applies to all new and existing purchase orders and packing slips found under “Orders” in Vendor Central. All legacy purchasing entity Names will be updated to Amazon.com Services, Inc. The relevant Names are as follows:

  • Amazon.com.kydc LLC
  • Amazon.com.azdc LLC
  • Amazon.com.dedc LLC
  • Amazon.com.ksdc LLC
  • Amazon.com.indc LLC
  • Amazon.com.nvdc LLC
  • Amazon.Golden State FC LLC

If you currently receive purchase orders from any of these seven legacy entities, it’s important that your organization is prepared for the change by March 1. Make sure that your systems and processes are able to accept this new value. Teams within your organization that might be impacted include shipping, order management, logistics, distribution, tax, legal, accounts payable/accounts receivable, and EDI or IT.
