Rapidly Growing Software Distributor
EDI Challenge
A small company that distributes software to retailers needed to be able to do EDI with the big retailers that sold their software. They had been doing "rip and read" EDI, but their volume was growing so large it was becoming impossible for them to keep up with the paperwork involved in rip and read. They wanted to integrate EDI with their business system, so that the information would be processed directly without manual intervention.
Solution
DCS assisted the company in upgrading their EDI software from Gentran Director to Gentran Server for Windows 2000 to better handle the volume. DCS created, tested, and setup all the integrated mapping required to do business with their trading partners.
Result
Their Gentran EDI system is now fully integrated to their accounting system, saving countless hours daily in manual data processing. DCS expertise with the unique fulfillment processes of mass merchants ensured the project was done quickly and most economically. Little support is now needed from DCS, but is quickly available as new challenges emerge.
