We Can Help!

With 15 years of experience, DCS can help you make the right choices. Since your business is unique, the combination of your experience and an expert knowing many possibilities improves your preparation. Chances are you have looked at many alternatives and encountered choices. But which to choose?

Since your business is different, the changes must adapt to the way your business processes occur. One way to improve is to get an expert’s advice. The steps are straight-forward: assessment, mini-report, and budget estimate. Fortunately, DCS provides a FREE 2 hour remote assessment. In it we:

  • Review your current processes
  • Discuss the problems that nag you
  • Learn about unmet requests

DCS will provide a sound assessment based upon our extensive experience with your EDI and AS2 systems, ERP system gateway, plus your Trading Partner's EDI requirements and upcoming changes. If you serve several industries, such as OEM and aftermarket, we can show you where similarities exist and how others have adapted.

Here are some proven ways to boost sales, speed processes, and cut costs:

Secure Internet Data Transmission (AS2) - Reduce the cost of pricey VANS by moving more traffic through the Internet. (About 3 hours per customer, after 8 hours setting and testing.)

More Customers - Ask customers that are faxing or emailing you orders if they would consider EDI. This will reduce data entry time and provide them a prompter order fill. (The time to add a customer for POs, Shipment Notices, and Invoices is about 4-12 hours for each customer; it varies widely.)

Web Forms - Ask customers if the Sales Order data fetched from a Web form could come by EDI or XML and then automatically loaded into your ERP system.

PO Acknowledgements – Vendors must promptly tell you the quantities they will ship and the promised dates. Learning earlier is better and more productive. (The PO Ack. will be received and printed or emailed to them. The time estimate is about 8 hours for the first and then 2 hours each for subsequent vendor.)

Pick-up Notices - Require truckers and parcel carriers to automatically alert you upon pick-up of inbound shipments. Your receiving dock and material planners can then be ready for the shipment or call if they don’t get a notice. (The notice will be received and printed or emailed to them. The time estimate is about 8 hours for the first and then 2 hours each for subsequent.)

Here is how it’s done - We suggest you meet informally with the customer service, accounts receivable, receiving, or materials manager to learn their headaches. Then call us for a reliable estimate.
